Splat!

Hi All!

There's a fun new challenge my Ms. September over at Bombshell Stamps - Paint Splatters! Oh yea... get funky with it this month and splash some paint around! Use it as a mist, flick it off your brush or even roll around in some paint and dance all over your project! I don't really care how you do it... just HAVE FUN!!! What a blast!

Here's my creation - dad if you see this skip it (LOL - it's his birthday card)

I love the car, the minute I saw this stamp set (Vintage Raceway) I had to have it because the car is very similar to one my dad had way back when. (the engine wasn't showing like that though) I tried to come close to the color it was as well using my Copics. The splatters in the background were created using Distress Stains. I squeezed the bottles a bit and kinda slammed them on the paper. (totally fun!) The smaller splatters were flicked on using the stains and a water brush. There's also some embossed foil with distressing in there too. I can't wait to give it to him!

You too can have some fun with this technique and link your project on the Bombshells blog for a chance to win a great prize! Hope to see you there!

Until next time,
Jodi :-)

  2. Thanks so much Naomi! I love, love, love the car as well. It's funny, when my dad had that car I hated to be seen in it, now I wish I had one. I guess the stamp will have to do for now! LOL
    Thanks for stopping by!
